Black Brangus
Doonside Transformer 567
Doonside Transformer 567 (Photo at 18 months) (Photo when out with cows) We are very proud of this bull. We feel he is of similar quality to Bright Side and Typesetter but with considerably higher Brahman content. He is very fertile and structurally correct – he was down with 3day sickness for 10 days when he was 20 months and in feed. He got to his feet by himself and we collected good quality semen from him 6 weeks later. We feel he is one of the better sires in the Brangus Breed. Click here for Pedigree
Transformer of Brinks 784E6 (ET) (P) (AI) PED95
Transformer has it all. His calves are all quality. Transformer was No.1 in USA for REA for 3 years. We feel he has given us the perfect base for our black Brangus herd and it is now up to us to keep that quality going and hopefully build on it. Click here for Pedigree | ![]() |
Bright side of Brinks | |
Bright Side took over from his sire Transformer as No.1 for REA. We have weaned calves by him and they lo ok good. They have great length and thickness and very quiet temperament. Click here for Pedigree
Typesetter of Brinks | |
The first of the Typesetter progeny were sold in 2005. As with all the Camp Cooley bulls, the Brahman content is a little too low for some areas of Queensland and we must be aware of that. All the Transformer qualities show through with Typesetter – the challenge now is to maintain all these qualities as we continue to breed bulls to suit all environments. Click here for Pedigree
Sundance of Brinks | |
Sundance by Cowboy is not closely bred to Transformer which makes him an interesting bull for Australia. He is smaller framed than the Transformer line but structurally very correct with extreme length and quiet temperament. We weaned the first Sundance calves July 2005 and we are very happy with them. Uppercut of Brinks
Uppercut is the “wild card” of our Camp Cooley bulls. He is by KO of Brinks and should be a good outcross for Transformer. He is of larger frame with very good underline. His first calves show promise and to be honest. He has not been given the same opportunity as the other bulls. Click here for Pedigree

Challenger of Brinks | |
Challenger’s calves seem to show lower content but they are long, thick and heavy. Click here for Pedigree
Doonside 179 – 96 | |
Doonside 179 is a son of JDH Elefante Manso who was one of the most respected bulls in the Brahman world. He has been of great benefit to our program as the majority of the calves have heavy bone structure and high REA. Click here for Pedigree | ![]() |
Doonside Witchdoctor – 70- 04
We expect Witchdoctor to be a top sire of the future. He looks good and is bred well – we hope for the best. Click here for Pedigree
